From Bora Bora Airport (BRB):
Distance to the Sofitel Motu Bora Bora is 20 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' journey.


Getting there.
The airport is located on Motu (lagoon island), the resort on another. The hotel offers airport pick-up by boat (surcharge). It is also possible to reach the hotel via the town of Vaitape using complimentary shuttle boat and bus services.


Getting around. There is only one sealed road on Bora Bora, 32 kilometres in length, although some unsealed roads penetrate the mountainous interior. There is no public transportation, but hotels and some restaurants will pick up dinner guests who have made reservations. Taxis cannot be found on the street, but must be ordered by phone, either through the hotel or directly with several companies. Fares are not metered and should be agreed upon at the onset of the journey. Travellers should expect to pay around 1000 to 1500 XPF for shorter rides and 5000 XPF across the island. There is also a water taxi company; a ride to the mainland costs around 2000 XPF. All prices subject to change.
